MUSIC MINISTRY THRIVING AT JUMC!
We've always had a fantastic music ministry here at Jefferson United Methodist Church, and this year will be even better. Praises will be lifted to God by our littlest ones right through our seniors. Just take a look -- even better -- join one or more choirs and let God show His beautiful love to you through His music!
Children’s Bell Choir -- Under the direction
of Karen Sly, this choir will practice
just before worship on the Sundays they’ll be playing. Their first time
to play will be at the 11:00 Rally Day worship, September 7. This choir is
for children ages 4 and up.
Adventure Club Singers Grades 1-6 – With Kathy Housel leading them, they'll be practicing during our Adventure Club after-school program and singing regularly throughout the year. Also, the 5&6th Grade Adventure Club kids will have a chance to play our chimes this fall.
Joy Ringers -- Led by Kathy Housel, they practice at 6:30 Sunday evenings.
Inspiration -- Led by Quincy Wheeler, they practice at 7:30 Sunday evenings.
Chancel Choir -- Led by Ruth Rea practice Wednesday evenings at 7:00.
Harmony Ringers – This group of adults gets together
a few times a year to learn a
handbell piece for worship. Paula Stevenson is their director.
The Way Home – This is a group who enjoys that country bluegrass sound. They sing 4 times a year.
Born Again Rockers - This is a group that does Praise songs
at the WOW services.
